Airport Officials Meet To Bring More Customers In

On Wednesday afternoon officials at the Johnstown/Cambria County Airport held a public meeting to discuss how they are going to drive more customer traffic into the airport.

The new airport manager said the Airport Authority had to review Colgan Air's flights that currently go to Dulles in Washington, D.C.

Officials said a Channel 6 News Investigation uncovering drastic price differences in fares from both Johnstown and Altoona's airports forced them to consider taking on a new flight service from Gulfstream International.

The board ultimately voted to stay with Colgan Air's service, as long as they promise to monitor fares at both airports and implement a more aggressive marketing strategy.

Colgan Air promised to make the changes as well as offer introductory flights prices when the airport reopens from runway construction on June 20th.
