Airport Promises Cheaper Flights

CAMBRIA COUNTY, Pa. —

For months WJAC reported on customer frustrations that the John Murtha Johnstown-Cambria County Airport did not have any affordable fights.

WJAC found some flights that are in fact, very affordable.

Travel agent Lynn Dudish said it is no longer more economical to drive to a neighboring city to catch a flight.

The Airport Authority said fares out of Johnstown are now $20-$30 cheaper.

They said they have increased connectivity to Dulles in Washington, D.C., meaning more flights to more places.

They said more connectivity means the opportunity for more cheap flights.

Some examples include a $378 round trip flight out of Johnstown to Las Vegas and one for $224 to Orlando.
