Altoona Man Leads Police On Chase, Turns Himself In

Altoona police said a man who led them on an early-morning pursuit and crashed into a home has turned himself in.

Investigators told WJACTV.com Frank Thompson, 45, turned himself in at Central Court Wednesday.

Police say officers tried to stop him for a traffic violation around 2 a.m. at the corner of 13th Street and 14th Avenue.

Thompson then took off at speeds that reached 90 mph, police said.

His vehicle then crashed into a home at 2501 11th Street.

The woman who was in the car with him, Sandra Glover, suffered minor injuries.

No one in the home was injured.

Thompson took off on foot. He's now at the Blair County Jail on $20,000 bail. He faces a long list of felony charges.
