Altoona Man Leads Police On Chase

ALTOONA, Pa. —

An Altoona man turned himself into authorities early this morning after police said he stole a motorcycle and led them on a chase.

Altoona police told WJAC that officers went after Michael Rupert when he drove away from a traffic stop.

Police said Rupert eventually ditched the motorcycle, which was reported stolen from an Auto Zone store, and called a friend to pick him up. Hours later, he surrendered to police.
