Altoona Swimming Pool Closed Due To Electrocution Hazard

An Altoona swimming pool won't open this summer and may be permanently closed after parks and recreation officials found dangerous problems at the Memorial Pool's filtration system.

According to the Altoona Mirror, the Juniata pool has a corroded steel wall in the pool's filtration system. Officials said it creates an electrocution hazard and it can't be patched.

Officials are trying to come up with options to reopen the pool. Stay with WJAC-TV.com and WJAC-TV News for continuing coverage.
