Appalachian Wagon Train Rolls Through Northern Alleghenies

MILLSTONE TOWNSHIP, Pa. —

It's a trip back in time stretching into Jefferson, Elk and Forest Counties.

This year is the 40th anniversary of the Appalachian Wagon Train.

The wagon train rolls through a different location every year.

This year the wagon train runs from Dixon Corner to Sigel in Jefferson County.

More than 20 wagons are part of the annual festival.

According to organizers the event is a tradition for many families.

They said the recession hasn't hurt the event and participation is steady.
