Area Businessman Faces Several Charges

Centre County —

Two young boys took the witness stand Wednesday to testify against a prominent Centre County businessman and township supervisor. Christopher Lee admitted touching a ten-year-old boy, but denied doing anything wrong.

Lee said it is all a misunderstanding. He said a lot of kids visit his Boal mansion or Columbus Chapel site. However, prosecutors painted a different picture.

"Mr. Lee was grooming these two boys. There were red flags here that were missed," said Prosecutor Lance Marshall.

In court, a ten-year-old boy testified Lee touched his genital area, and tried to take off his pajamas while the boy and his family were staying in Lee's home in June.

According to Lee's attorney, Joseph Amendola, Lee was trying to help the boy.

"The kid had a bed-wetting problem and was wearing a diaper. Chris was worried he had wetted himself and the sofa bed. He was checking the diaper," said Amendola.

The boy's eight-year-old brother also testified Lee touched him on the backside several times, but nothing more than that. Lee is now headed to trial, facing various indecent assault and corruption of minors charges.
