Army Officer Looks To Specter For Help

A suspended army officer in Iraq wrote to Senator Arlen Specter saying he was being unfairly punished for the pictures showing prisoner abuse. The letter was written 6 weeks before the photos were released. The officer from eastern Pennsylvania was looking for help from Specter, but Specter said the letter contained nothing that suggested a problem more severe than what the military had already disclosed.
