Army Silver Wings Put On Show At Sandyvale Memorial Park

JOHNSTOWN, Pa. —

The Sandyvale Memorial Park association put on a Memorial Day event Monday to remember those who died fighting for our country.

The event was filled with speeches from veterans and politicians, and patriotic tunes sung by local singers.

Event coordinator Bill Horner said, "This grows every year. This certainly exceeds anything we've ever had before. We'll build on this."

The main part of the event was the air show put on by the Army Silver Wings.

Three soldier jumped from a plane and parachuted into the park, waving American flags.

A young Johnstown resident watched in amazement. "Awesome, I was shocked," said Dylan Valinsky.

Capt. Andrew Walko of the Army Silver Wings, said it's a way to get the Army's name out especially on Memorial Day.
