Attorney General Introduces New Initiative

JOHNSTOWN, Pa. —

Attorney General Tom Corbett introduced a new internet safety initiative on cyber bullying and how to handle it at area schools.

It's called "Operation Safe Surf" and it's supposed to educate students, parents and teachers on internet dangers and how to protect themselves online.

On Thursday, Corbett began his statewide tour at Corl Street Elementary School in State College and then he greeted students from Richland Middle School in Cambria County.

Corbett said threatening messages through instant messaging and in chat rooms are types of cyber-bullying.
