JOHNSTOWN, Pa. —
Everyday, Smith and her three kids would find bats swarming their home, including the attic, bedrooms, kitchen and living room.
Smith's landlord set up an exterminator appointment for this weekend, but Smith said she can't wait that long. In fact, the four of them have been sleeping at family and friends' homes around town.
Smith said there was three bats flying at once and an attic polluted with bat guano.
D-Bug Pest Control owner John Morrison told WJAC-TV when it's hot outside, bats will find cooler places. Morrison said find where the bats are coming in and seal the spaces. Also get an exterminator if you find an abnormal amount of bat guano.
