Because Of Fights, Johnstown Bar May Soon Close

JOHNSTOWN, Pa. —

A petition is being passed around Johnstown's West End. It's asking residents to help get Palumbo's Tavern shut down. They may get their wish sooner rather than later.

Over the past month, there have been two news reports about fights at and outside the bar. This past weekend, a man was stabbed outside the bar. Some residents want the bar closed. Palumbo's manager, Dave Ferg, said he's going to shut it down. Ferg said he has poured everything into this business, but he is getting sick and tired of all the problems that have come with it. He said once he throws someone out of the bar, the problems begin. But he added once his bar is gone, the problems won't be.
