Bedford Co. officials trying to identify body of man found near historical society

By WJAC Web Staff

BEDFORD COUNTY, Pa. —

Authorities in Bedford County are trying to positively identify a frozen body found one week ago outside of the Bedford County Historical Society.

Wednesday's Altoona Mirror reported that police are still investigating the incident. According to the newspaper, investigators may be trying to link the deceased man to reports of a man who asked to be released from a Virginia to Michigan Greyhound bus run the day before.

The Mirror reported that a Greyhound ticket and political buttons were found on the man's body, suggesting the man may have attended the presidential inauguration.
