BEDFORD COUNTY, Pa. —
About a year ago, a levee was constructed along Wills Creek in Hyndman Borough.
Members of the Department of Emergency Services said this is the first real test the system is getting.
They said they are confident that it will withstand the melting snow and rain.
They said previously though, the Borough of Hyndman suffered repeated flooding.
That was until the local and state authorities took their cry for help to the government.
Fortunately, funding was granted to help create safety in the town.
