Bedford County Gets Grant From Congressman Shuster

Bedford County —

Congressman Bill Shuster brought good news to Six Mile Run residents in Bedford County Wednesday. Shuster handed over nearly a quarter of a million dollars for completion of a waste water treatment facility. Broad Top Township and Coaldale Borough officials have been working on the treatment facility for fifteen years. Currently, 45 residents cannot hook up to the sewage lines. Instead, these people have to use holding tanks and pay a hundred dollars a month to have the tanks pumped. When the treatment facility is finished, these residents' monthly bill is to fall to $13.
