Bethlehem Steel Retirees To Get Financial Help

JOHNSTOWN, Pa. —

The United Steelworkers Union announces retirees and surviving spouses who lost health care coverage when Bethlehem Steel went bankrupt will get help paying Medicare Part B premiums.

Eligible individuals will be reimbursed for up to 12 months of premiums paid during 2007.

A single retiree will get up to $720 and couples $1440. The checks will be mailed during the first week of December.
