Channel 6 News is investing in your future -- a Blair County business is bought by one of its own employees, saving thirty-five jobs.

Electric Motor and Supply has customers reaching across the world and is one of only three shops in the state that has the capability to handle the type of electric motors its employees re-build.

It was more than the revving of engines heard at the shop this morning...celebration that new owner Pat Illig took over, insuring the health and growth of the company.

"We were able to sustain thirty five jobs and also to add jobs in the immediate and long-term future," says Illig.

But Pat believes a business should do even more..it should serve as a steward to the community.

"If you'll notice we have two acres that we don't use, we keep it as a park for local residents."

And for that commitment to the community, Pat has been awarded a key to the city of Altoona.
