Blair County Man Accused Of Pointing Gun At 2 People

A Blair County man is facing assault charges after allegedly pointing a gun at two men in his neighborhood.

Officers said problems started around 1 a.m. Sunday at the Black and Gold Tavern when 38-year-old John Hoover got in a fight.

Hoover reportedly took off for his girlfriend's house where he smashed everything in sight.

Hoover left her house with a rifle and pointed it at two people walking.

Police picked him up and charged him with simple assault and other charges.

He was taken to Blair County Prison in lieu of $10,000 bond.
