Based on a preliminary report a couple of months ago, Blair County commissioners were almost panic-stricken because it showed the county would end up with nothing in the bank by the end of the year. Now, they've been given the figure of $5 million. Commissioners say the extra money has come from an assortment of things, including quicker re-imbursements from the state and cuts from county departments.
