Blood and prom gowns donated at Lifesavors Ball

By Kerri Corrado

Richland, PA. —

The American Red Cross teamed up with the Cindrella Project for an event calld the Lifesavors Ball.

This was a different kind of blood drive. One that saved lives and was full of balloons, party decorations, and prom gowns.

Donors were asked to bring a new or gently used prom dress to the Richland Fire Hall. The main goal behind this event is one to help save lives through blood donations and help girls who can’t afford to go to their prom.

Dresses were beaded and ranged from many different colors and styles, just waiting for a new owner. They said one lady dropped off 50 new prom gowns.

If you missed this event and still want to donate blood, you can go to any blood drive and make an appointment.
