Body Of Indiana Co. Fisherman Found In Lake

It was a somber and emotional morning at Hemlock Lake on Monday. The body of 63-year-old Gary Korney was found after officials worked for three days to find his body.

Officials said that Korney's body was found around 8:45 a.m. Monday.

The search came after the fishing boat Korney and his son were in turned over Saturday afternoon.

Police say the son swam to shore for help, but his father's body was nowhere to be found.

The drowning has been ruled accidental.

Indiana County Coroner Michael Baker pronounced Korney dead at the scene at 9:55 a.m. Monday.

According to Baker, the cause of death was asphyxia due to fresh-water drowning.

Funeral arrangements for Korney are under the direction of Rairigh Funeral Home of Hillsdale.
