Boy Injured In DuBois Fire Continues Recovery

DuBOIS, Pa. —

A four-year-old boy who was injured in a DuBois fire last week continues to recover in Pittsburgh.

Shelden Crawford had severe smoke inhalation and burns over half his body from that fire.

It happened at a house along South Brady Street on Feb. 19.

Crawford was pulled out of the house and then taken to a Pittsburgh hospital.

He was taken off a ventilator on Wednesday and is now breathing on his own.

Family members said Crawford has a long road to recovery.

They distributed donation boxes to area businesses hoping to raise money for his treatment and travel expenses.

In addition, an account has been created for Shelden Crawford at Timberland Federal Credit Union in DuBois.
