Burned-Out Home Demolished

JOHNSTOWN- —

A dilapidated home destroyed by fire was torn down Monday, but some neighbors said they have additional problems to contend with.

Neighbors said they are still dealing with water and structural damage to their own homes.

Last Friday, a blaze ripped through the condemned building and left nearby neighbors with a mess to clean up.

Bob Hess, a Channel 6 News photographer who lives next door, is thankful his home is still in one piece.

"The firefighters did a great job saving my house," Hess said.

According to residents on nearby Dibert Street, dilapidated homes are a major issue in the Kernville section of the city.
