Business Owners Concerned About Curwensville Police Coverage

CURWENSVILLE, Pa. —

There's growing concern about police coverage in one Clearfield County community.

Business owners in Curwensville have expressed concern after a recent string of robberies.

The robberies happened at several businesses along Susquehanna Avenue.

The borough only has one full-time police officer.

Curwensville's police force was cut several times over the past few years.

The borough has a very tight financial situation and officials said they can't hire any officers right now.

Business owners said they understand the situation and admitted there isn't much the borough can do.

They're currently considering a neighborhood watch program.
