Businesses Preparing For 9/11 Weekend

The entire Clearfield community is joining together to show their support for those who lost their lives 10 years ago.

"Our community has started a revitalization, so it's getting more tight-knit with everybody coming together. This is another way to bring our community together and look back and remember the fallen soldiers and people we have lost," said Dana St. Clair, Spanky's Courthouse Cafe.

Flags, signs and patriotic decorations are scattered through downtown Clearfield.

Sept. 11th weekend there will be a number of events going on in town.

The Clearfield County courthouse has already removed a portion of its concrete stairs in preparations of a new memorial stone.

The local fire department will be dedicated a stone wall on Sunday, Sept. 11.

Business owners said its important that the community comes together at times like these.

"Everybody needs to remember this day every day of the year. We need to continue to remember everybody that sacrificed their life for our country," said Darla Smay, Clearfield Pharmacy.
