CAMBRIA COUNTY, Pa. —

A Cambria County man is still in a hospital after what police said was a confrontation that turned into a brutal beating on Monday.

Police said the victim, Michael Pcola, remained hospitalized on Wednesday with serious head injuries.

Gregory Conza is accused of trying to kill Pcola with an aluminum baseball bat and is charged with attempted homicide.

Officials said Conzo went to at Pcola's home on Sierra Street in Wilmore Heights and got into an argument with Pcola's sister. Then, Conzo hit her in the left arm with the bat, police said.

Conzo then allegedly swung the bat again and hit Pcola on the left side of his head before taking off, police said.
