Cambria Co. man who assaulted woman, fought with officer, released on parole

CAMBRIA COUNTY, Pa. —

A Cambria County man who pleaded guilty to assaulting a woman and fighting with a police officer was released on parole after he was sentence Tuesday.

Thomas Findley, 51, was sentenced to three to 23 months in jail then was given credit for time already served, according to Wednesday's Tribune-Democrat.

Police said Findley assaulted a woman in November after drinking alcohol all day. When a police officer showed up, Findley resisted arrested and injured the officer's leg.

Findley fled the scene and was later captured when Hastings police used a stun gun on him.
