Cambria County Man Hailed Hometown Hero

Dwayne Davis is being hailed a hero after he save a woman who hit a utility pole and got trapped under her car.

Davis is a bridge construction worker. He was stationed a bridge along Allgheny River Boulevard when he heard the crash.

He tells WJACTV.com he called to his colleagues and then rushed to pull the woman out.

Firefighters later told Davis he could have been killed because there were live wires running through the woman's car.

Davis said he was shocked a couple times, but it didn't stop him from rescuing the woman.

The woman, was taken to UPMC Pittsburgh with a leg injury.

Davis has not spoken with the woman. Her condition remains unknown.
