Camtran Riders Get New Buses

Despite a lack of state funding for public transportation, Camtran dedicated nine new buses on Thursday.

A Camtran official said even though ridership is down, there is a need for state-of-the-art buses.

"Senior citizens ride free -- they don't pay anything -- so it's important in today's economy of high prices, high fuel costs and medicine," said Ed Cernic of Camtran.

Rep. John Murtha , D-Pa., helped obtain the $2 million need to purchase the new buses.
