Candidates From Centre County Districts Debate

Centre County —

The Presidential Race has stolen most of the spotlight this campaign season.

Candidates running for the State House of Representatives turned the focus to local issues during a debate last night. Issues having to do with the environment dominated the debate. Candidates from Centre County Districts in Bellefonte, State College, and surrounding areas argued over how to handle the acid rock problem on I-99 as well as funding for the "Growing Greener 2" Program. The candidates will face off at another debate on October 25th at the State College High School. The event will take place in the auditorium at 7:30 p.m.
