CDC Wants All Children Vacinated

This year the Center for Disease Control and Prevention is confident the flu vaccine is a better match than last year and they recommend every child 6 months to 18 years old get vaccinated.

Health Officials want to make sure parents get their children vaccinated because the flu can sometimes be deadly. Last year it was recommended just for kids under 5 but research has shown while older school aged kids are less likely to be hospitalized they get the flu at higher rates.

WJAC-TV spoke with some hospitals in the region and they say there is no concern about a flu vaccination shortage in this year.
