Johnstown, PA —

A Centre County man was sentenced to one year and a day in prison for ethnic intimidation against a Clearfield County woman.

Investigators said Ryan Held put a cross about 60 feet away from the victim's house in Woodland and then lit it on fire to intimidate her and her African-American friend.

Police said Held watched the cross burn from neighboring woods to see if anyone would come out of the house.

Held was also sentenced to three years of supervised release.
