Centre County Man Pleads Guilty To Vehicular Homicide

STATE COLLEGE, Pa. —

Thomas Fry pleaded guilty to vehicular homicide Tuesday, a year after police said he hit former Penn State professor Bohdan Kulakowski in a car-bicycle accident.

After making a plea bargain, Fry is to get five-years of probation, but it does not look like he will face any jail-time.

Since Kulakowski was riding his bike when he was hit, many cyclists from the community showed up at the courthouse and were outraged that Fry probably will not be facing a stricter sentence.

One reason cyclists said they were upset by Fry's projected sentence was because he was driving with vision problems.

Police said Fry is legally blind and prosecutors said they want Fry's driver's license permanently pulled.

Sentencing is to take place in May.
