Centre County Takes No Chances

Centre County is working to make things a little safer, all around. On Thursday, Penn State University announced they'll be changing the way they do business. The University will no longer base its ID's on a person's social security number. They hope the changes will result in an identity theft decrease.

Now, Centre County is working to make government buildings safer. A quarter of a million dollars in security upgrades will be place throughout Centre County government buildings. Sheriff Deputies are already on guard, and there are metal detectors at the building entrances. Now, more video cameras will be installed, and pass cards will replace keys.
