Charges have been dropped for a man accused of holding a gun to a woman's head.

Michael Shaffer's former girlfriend, Lorraine Bodzak, dropped the charges against him Wednesday.

Shaffer was accused of holding a gun to her head and choking her with a rope. As part of Shaffer's probation, he is not allowed to have contact with Bodzak.

Bodzak also accused township police officer William Gephart of not answering one of her calls for help. It was unclear whether Bodzak will proceed with that lawsuit.
