Child Molester Suspect Arrested

CAMBRIA COUNTY, Pa. —

A Cambria County man accused of being a serial child molester is now in police custody.

Police said Mark Kinkead of Johnstown either raped or molested at least three boys in the 1990s. More charges are expected but at this point investigators told WJAC that no new charges have been filed. Kinkead is now in the Cambria County Jail.

This case came to light when Kinkead told a counselor that he had been sexually assaulting kids throughout the area for years and he wanted to stop himself from doing it again, police said.

A family member of Kinkead's claims he was raped at Kinkead's home when he was 8 years old. Two brothers who were foster children at the home said they were molested by Kinkead. Some of the assaults allegedly also took place at the church next door.

Kinkead's bond is set at $25,000.
