Church Service Turns Violent & Deadly

Near Pittsburgh —

A woman is dead and two others injured after a hostage situation led to a police pursuit. It started at a church in Sheraden just outside of Pittsburgh Sunday Morning. Police say a man with gun entered a church during a service and forced a child and that child's mother outside. Two people at the church service tried to stop the man. One was grazed on the shoulder by a bullet fired from the man's gun. The man forced the woman and the child into a van outside. After a pursuit through two counties, the police were able to stop the man. The woman was shot and killed. Police don't know who fired the bullet that killed her. The man was also shot, and that bullet was believed to have come from a police officer's gun.
