CLEARFIELD, Pa —

A Clearfield County man is in jail after allegedly firing shots toward Pennsylvania State Troopers and Clearfield Borough Police officers.

According to a criminal complaint police were called to the Spruce Grove Trailer Park in Clearfield around 4:45 a.m. for a domestic dispute.

A woman told police that her husband would not let her or her nephew inside of the house.

According to the criminal complaint, the woman said her husband, Peter Cain Jr. was drunk and threatened to shoot the two of them if they went inside the mobile home.

When officers arrived on scene everyone in the mobile home park was evacuated.

According to the criminal complaint, while police were evacuating residents, Cain fired shots on three separate occasions.

Court documents said Cain was seen walking through his house with a rifle in his hand.

After about 15 minutes police said Cain surrendered to police.

When authorities went inside of his house they retrieved five shell casings.

Cain has been charged with aggravated assault, assault of law enforcement officer, simple assault, terroristic threats, discharge of firearm into occupied structure, recklessly endangering another person; and criminal mischief.

His bail was set at $100,000.

He remains in the Clearfield County jail.
