Clearfield County Windmill Project Takes Step Forward

BRADY TOWNSHIP, Pa. —

A windmill project in Clearfield County has taken another step forward.

The Brady Township supervisors approved more sections of their windmill ordinance this week.

They decided to charge companies $2,000 for every wind turbine.

Iberdrola Renewables U.S.A. has proposed a wind farm near the village of Luthersburg.

Township officials said company officials have attended their meetings to discuss the ordinance.

Windmills could stretch across several townships in Clearfield County.

Brady Township officials said their ordinance may be looked at as a model for rules in other communities.
