JOHNSTOWN, Pa. —

Closing arguments are expected to be heard Monday in the trial of two Philadelphia cousins charged with killing a man in Johnstown.

Marquis Neal, 31, took the stand in his own defense on Saturday.

Neal told the judge he was drinking and on pills the morning 21-year-old J-Quan Lewis was gunned down in the Oakhurst Homes parking lot in 2011.

Neal said he doesn't remember part of it, but said he thought Lewis was reaching for a gun.

The Associated Press reported that the other defendant, 29-year-old Anthony Harvey, had been involved in a fight with Lewis the night before. Harvey did not testify in his own defense.

Neal testified that he tried to shake Lewis' hand the day after the fight, but Lewis walked past, bumped him and then put his hands into his pockets as if going for a gun. Under cross-examination, he said he didn't recall running after Lewis or firing a final shot.
