Coal Truck, Car Collide In Somerset County

SHADE TOWNSHIP, Pa. —

Pennsylvania State Police are investigating after a coal truck and car collided in Somerset County.

The crash happened just before 10 a.m. at the intersection of Routes 30 and 160 in Shade Township.

Police said a tri-axle truck was trying to cross Route 30 when a car heading west on Route 30 crashed into.

The woman who was driving the car was alert but was transported to a hospital as a precaution. The extent of her injuries was not known as of 2:15 p.m.

The truck driver, who was driving for HET Hauling. of Somerset County, was not injured.
