SHADE TOWNSHIP, Pa. —
A coal truck driver was injured when his vehicle veered off the road and crashed in Somerset County on Friday.
Police said 77-year-old George Bowman was driving the coal truck on Benny Road in Shade Township around 6 a.m. when he lost control of the vehicle.
The truck veered off the road and crashed into a wooded area. Officials needed two wreckers to pull the truck out.
Bowman was taken to a hospital with head and shoulder injuries.
