The State Theater, in downtown State College, is now in the hands a community group that's bringing the theater back to life as a community arts center. Sid and Helen Friedman, today, turned over the deed to the theater, to the group, State Theater, Inc. Fundraising has collected nearly 3 million dollars for the restoration project. Its expected the theater will host well over 250 shows a year- ranging from concerts to movies and children's performances.
