By Kerri Corrado

NEW ENTERPRISE, PA. —

Leevi Steele who battled with brain cancer, died right before midnight, which was his 6th birthday.

The community gathered for a prayer vigil, sang happy birthday, and sent balloons to heaven.

Leevi touched kid’s hearts from all ages. They wore blue shirts in his honor because blue was his favorite color.

“Its just amazing to see how may people he touched because he definitely touched mine,” Tanner Russell said.

Tanner Russell met Leevi for his senior high school project. From that point on, they became best friends.

“He was so funny. Tanner and him would be a riot together. Any time you were around him you would have fun. No sadness ever,” Brooke Guyer said.

Many shocked at how a kid so young had to suffer, but the community calls Leevi their  “Superhero.”
