By Melanie Gillespie

CONEMAUGH TOWNSHIP, Pa. —

A criminal complaint released Friday said a teenage girl has been sexually abused for the past five years. The man Police said is responsible for the crime is behind bars.

Police said the charges were filed so fast five days ago when a teenager came forward to share her side of the story. She was getting sexually abused over the span of five years.

Within days of getting a report from Children and Youth Services, police have a man in custody that they believe was assaulting a teenage girl from the time she was 11 until the age of 16.

Police said it was in the basement of a house in Conemaugh Township that 45-year-old Albert Anderson Jr. repeatedly sexually abused the young victim. Police said he even performed sexual acts on her as she slept.

The affidavit said Anderson is an over-the-road truck driver, and would send the girl to the basement and commit various sexual acts on her during the weekend he was home.

Investigators said Anderson is facing 50 counts of indecent assault on a child under 13, and 50 counts of indecent assault on a child under 16. He is also facing 10 counts of corruption of a minor.

Anderson had no comment.

He is due back in court next week. The judge said he is looking at a significant amount of time behind bars if convicted. He could face seven years for each felony count.
