Constitution Day

Blair County —

High school students along with Blair County leaders lined the steps of the Courthouse, drawing attention to the document that has shaped this country, the Constitution. These students weren't just listening, they were also educating listeners and those passing by about what's in the Constitution. The Pledge of Allegiance also came up, considering it is at the center of a ruling in California. A judge ruled last week it's unconstitutional for kids to say the Pledge in school because of the phrase, One nation under God. We spoke with students from Hollidaysburg High School to see how they felt, but every one of them tell us, they dont agree with the decision. In fact, many noted that this country was founded on Christianity and things should stay as they are.
