Construction Starts On New Police Building In Paint Township

PAINT TOWNSHIP, Pa. —

Construction crews are in the process of building a new Paint Township police building.

At the start of the year, Paint Township police picked up police coverage in Windber, so now they cover six municipalities.

The Windber Borough building was condemned so Police Chief Rick Skiles decided building a new facility beside the Paint Township Municipal Building was the best option.

Skiles said the building will help them better serve the six municipalities at no cost to the taxpayers.

The building should be complete in four months.
