Convicted Murderer Released For Time Served

A Johnstown man won't be facing a jury twice for a murder in Cambria County.

Nelson Bishop was found guilty in the mid 90's for the stabbing death of Kevin Sobecky during what has been called a robbery gone bad. A judge later ordered a new trial after a reported witness to the crime changed his story. Bishop was to be re-tried but instead plead guilty to third-degree murder and was released for time served.
