Centre County —
Hopes of bring a new auto racing venue to Centre County are still in contention, along with some other options.
Several locations in western Centre County have been identified as possible sites for a race track. Talks are on hold because potential investors are busy during the current Nascar season. County officials say they're hearing from backers of other possibilities- such as amusement, or water sports parks - who are also interested.
