The accident occurred along the Barrett curve on Route 322 between Clearfield and Woodland.
State police are still trying to determine what caused the car and SUV to collide.
At least one person was trapped for over half an hour.
Two victims were transported from the scene via medical helicopter.
Neither the names of the victims nor their conditions have been released.
The crash left Route 322 closed to traffic for over an hour.
